Super singer and recording artist, Sylvia St. James, headlines this exciting concert filled with contemporary gospel, blues, and jazz recognizing Juneteenth and the ending of slavery. Sylvia St. James’ has written music for, and recorded and performed with some of the greatest artists of our time, both nationally and internationally, in just about every genre. Her impressive credits and colleagues include Arianna Grande, Keith Richards, Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand, Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli, Harry Connick Jr., and many others. She also hosts the very popular “Soulful Sundays” at the Rose in Pasadena, CA, and has hosted the International Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues. Opening up the show is local legend, Kelly Covington. Her pure, powerful voice is a soaring lead instrument evoking the complete spectrum of emotions. This must-see event is sponsored by the African Americans on Maui Association.
