Baked Beans

Number of Servings: 10-20 portions depending on your appetite!

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium Maui onion, coarsely chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 1/4 cup celery
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 15-ounce can baked beans
  • 1 15-ounce can garbanzo beans
  • 1 15-ounce can black beans
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/3 cup agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon hot dog relish
  • zest of 1 orange + orange, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke

Directions: In an ovenproof casserole, brown onion and celery in olive oil for 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Bake in oven at 300 degrees for 2 hours, checking occasionally. Cover with lid if browning too fast.
