An event every month that begins at 8:30am on day Second of the month, repeating indefinitely
You’re invited to create the next generation of sustainable, outdoor learning environments for South Maui students and learn how to grow your own food. Join us every “Second Saturday” for Work & Learn Day at Kihei Elementary School garden. No experience necessary. Learning and participation at all levels grown here! Volunteers are invited to learn urban organic gardening techniques, sift compost, feed composting worms, diagnose and address plant health issues, spread mulch, weed and prepare a healthy foundation for our living learning places.
Free Garden Goodness!
We are grateful for every moment you offer to programs that nourish healthy minds and cultivate community. The rewards grown here are as exponential as your imagination. In appreciation of your contribution, Grow Some Good is offering volunteers complimentary 5 lb. bags of organic all-purpose fertilizer and taro starts to add to your home gardens.
Directions Note: The Kihei School Garden is located in the center of campus, just beyond the main office adjacent to the cafeteria playground. Parking available in front parking lots.
Join us for all or part of the day. Water and light refreshments will be provided. If you have questions in advance, call 808-269-6300 or visit our Volunteer Page at growsomegood.org.
